FIREFIGHTERS SHOW SUPPORT

Fitchburg Fire Fighters have changed the daily work uniform to include a

red shirt for Friday wear.  With the go ahead from Chief Roy in place, the

 members began wearing the shirts on Friday, June 6th, 2008. 

The red shirt is to symbolize a unifed support for the Armed Forces.

Many departments throughout the state are participating. 

The design, a Maltese cross with Fitchburg Fire and an American flag. 

 Outside the Maltese cross are the words

 "SUPORT OUR TROOPS." in yellow.
